Biography
Dr Josephine Lai Chang Hui is presently working as a lecturer at Department of Chemical Engineering and Energy Sustainability, Faculty of Engineering in Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). She received her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in UNIMAS at year 2016. She had more than 7 years’ experience in research and development (R&D). The area of interests includes advanced materials in nanoscale such as silica/clay dispersed elastomeric polymer nanocomposites reinforced with nanoclay, additional with chemical modification and treatment of solid wood. Besides, she managed to work out biodegradable filter for wastewater filtration to save cost and energy. Her current research is on generating energy to dry okara to form biodegradable feedstocks for environmental friendly purposes. So far, she had published 16 book chapter and 27 international ISI and Scopus publications. In addition, she has 1 intellectual property patented at year 2018. She also work closely on MS ISO/IEC 17025 for BET equipment.
