Located in the heart of Borneo, UNIMAS is uniquely positioned at the crossroads of rich biodiversity, indigenous knowledge and technological advancement, committed to empowering communities and pioneering innovation for a sustainable world. Our vision is to be a leading global engineering faculty for a sustainable future, realised through quality teaching, impactful research and strategic engagement.

We offer four Bachelor of Engineering programmes Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, and Chemical together with a growing suite of postgraduate programmes. All four undergraduate programmes are fully accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC), Board of Engineers Malaysia, in the latest cycle: Electrical & Electronics and Chemical Engineering (2024–2029), Mechanical Engineering (2025–2030) and Civil Engineering (2025–2030). This assures our students and partners that our curriculum meets rigorous national and international standards and supports pathways to professional registration and global mobility.

Looking ahead, the Faculty Strategic Plan 2025–2030 is aligned with the UNIMAS Strategic Plan 2026–2030, which emphasises life-wide transformative education, future-ready graduates and alumni, advanced research and innovation, sustainable financial performance, co-creative ecosystems and a Green-Smart-Safe campus. Guided by these priorities and anchored in the values of Excellence, Integrity, Innovation and Sustainability, we will continue to nurture resilient, ethical and innovative engineers for Sarawak, for Malaysia and for the wider world.
