Biography

Nur Amalina Shairah bt Abdul Samat has joined Faculty of Engineering, UNIMAS since 2015 and is currently a lecturer in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Energy Sustainability. She obtained her Bachelor Degree in Chemical and Process Engineering in University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand, before pursuing her Master of Science in Advanced Process Control (Chemical Engineering) in Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Malaysia. Her research areas of interest include Methanol Processing, Gas Cleaning (e.g. hydrogen sulfide removals, etc.), Biomass Gasification/Pyrolysis, Biofiltration, Wastewater Treatment, Material Extraction and Polymer, and Process Control Systems.
