INTRODUCTION
The
Board of the Electrohydrodynamics Technical Committee of the IEEE/DEIS/EHD
has selected Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS), Sarawak, Malaysia, as
the location for its 2009 International Symposium on
Electrohydrodynamics (ISEHD2009). The Faculty of Engineering, UNIMAS
therefore proposes to organize the ISEHD2009 from 25th to 28th
March 2009 in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
BACKGROUND
This
international symposium is also co-sponsored by International Electrostatic
Assembly. The main objective of the meeting is to promote international
cooperation and technological progress based on the interaction between
electrical and fluid mechanics phenomena. This reunion is preceded by
six international symposiums held every two to three years in different
countries (Canada, Italy, France and Argentina). The last symposium, ISEHD2006 was held successfully from 4th to 6th
December 2006 in Faculty of Engineering, University of Buenos Aires,
Buenos Aires, Argentina. The last symposium attracted about 60
presenters.
The
symposium's program will consist of oral presentations
given by the participants in plenary sessions. Invited lectures given by
distinguished scientists.
A panel
session on EHD Atomization and Their Advanced Applications and a Round
Table Session on Advanced Flow and Thermal Diagnostic Techniques for EHD
are Planned.
Objectives
The main
objectives of the proposed conference are to promote international
cooperation and technological progress based on the interaction between
electrical and fluid mechanics phenomena.
Theme
In line
with the objectives outlined above, the main theme of the conference is
"Advances and Innovations in Electrohydrodynamics".

presenting papers are required to send softcopy of their abstracts to
